Twisted Pine Brewing Company Celebrates 30 Years with Northstar Imperial Porter Release

Boulder, Colorado – November 11, 2025 – Twisted Pine Brewing Company, Boulder's beloved craft brewery, proudly announces the release of its celebrated seasonal beer, Northstar Imperial Porter. This release marks a high point in the company's three-decade legacy of innovation, community, and award-winning beer, coinciding with the brewery's milestone of 30 years of brewing excellence (1995-2025).

A Legacy of Brewing

Founded in 1995 by Colorado brewing pioneer Gordon Knight, Twisted Pine quickly established itself in Boulder's vibrant beer scene. Just over a year later, the brewery was acquired by friend and brewer Bob Baile, who merged his own brewing venture, Peak to Peak Brewing, into the Twisted Pine identity.

In 2025, the brewery proudly celebrates its 30th anniversary with the slogan, "Brewing Boulder's Most Award-Winning Beer Since 1995. Cheers to 30 Years of Hoppiness."

Over the years, Twisted Pine has grown from its early bottling and draft operations into a full-service ale house and restaurant, complete with a creative kitchen, 30 draft lines, and a pilot brewing system dedicated to experimentation. In addition to brewing, they offer a mix of thoughtful, expanded beverage menus, including wine, spirits, and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks. The culture of the brewery remains rooted in bold flavors, handcrafted quality, and community engagement.

Northstar Imperial Porter: A Seasonal Icon

Northstar Imperial Porter is a deep, robust Baltic-style porter with rich malt notes of toffee, chocolate, coffee, and dark fruit, carrying a smooth, velvety finish — the perfect winter seasonal for those crisp Colorado evenings.

Most notably, Northstar has earned high industry recognition:

• Gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) in 2019
• Bronze in 2012 and silver in 2014 at the European Beer Star Competition
• Silver medal at the World Beer Cup in 2006

The Release

The new batch of Northstar Imperial Porter will be available on draft and in limited-release bottles at the Twisted Pine Ale House & Restaurant on Friday, November 14, 2025. This year's edition celebrates not only the beer's pedigree but also the 30-year milestone of the brewery itself. Patrons are encouraged to join the celebration.
