Franke Beverage Systems will continue under the new name Blefa Kegs, Inc. in the United States. Blefa Kegs is still under the private ownership of the Artemis Group. Existing customers and partners of Blefa Kegs will see no change, and they will continue to receive great product offerings and quality service.

The city’s hometown brewery, Rahr & Sons Brewing Co., will make The Fort Worth, an American session ale, available year-round in 12-ounce cans and on draft beginning in May. A portion of all sales of The Fort Worth, named in honor of the naval ship USS Fort Worth, are donated to the USS Fort Worth Support Committee, which provides moral support and appreciation for the ship’s crew and families. The beer was originally released as a seasonal offering in August 2015.

Hardywood Park Craft Brewery is expanding once again. The Richmond, Virginia-based brewery yesterday shared plans to open a new brewery and taproom in Charlottesville later this year.
