Bourbon Barrel-Aged Drafty Kilt (BBDK), a slow-sipping variant of Monday Night Brewing’s prized scotch ale, returns just in time for the holiday season. Hitting Monday Night’s West Midtown brewery on Friday, Nov. 16, BBDK will start populating store shelves and pouring at local watering holes across Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama on Nov. 19.
Lompoc Brewing will release eight holiday beers on draft this season. The beers will be available at a release party on Monday, Nov. 26 from 4 pm to 11 pm at Lompoc Sidebar, 3901 N Williams Ave. The beers will go on tap at Oaks Bottom and 5th Quadrant on Tuesday, Nov. 27. One of the beers, C-Sons Greetings, will also be released in 22-oz. bottles, which will be available at the release party.
Santa’s Private Reserve, the annual collaboration between Rogue Ales & Spirits and Santa Claus hits shelves this month. The beer is always packed with enough cheer to supply any holiday party and this year the 2018 vintage of Santa’s Private Reserve is a Belgian dark ale packed with tangerines and boysenberries.
This week, 1623 Brewing Company introduces Pilsner as the latest addition to their lineup of clean and complex innovations of tried-and-true style beers. Pilsner will be available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft across central Maryland alongside the brewery’s Hefeweizen and IPA.

Stone Brewing vice president Todd Karnig has departed the San Diego-based craft brewery, Brewbound has learned. Karnig is the second key executive to leave Stone Brewing in the last year, and the third since former POM Wonderful president Dominic Engels was hired as the company’s new CEO. Karnig’s exit also comes about a month after Stone hired former Monster Energy executive Dan Lamb as its chief commercial officer.

Rather than going straight from the finishing tanks to the bottling line a few barrels of Sprecher Brewery’s award-winning Quad have been resting for almost two years in Kentucky Bourbon barrels while becoming XII Dragons.
