The South Carolina Brewers Guild, the trade organization representing the interests of the state’s 130 independent craft breweries, is excited to announce the return of its annual Conference and Trade Show on Feb. 28 and March 1, 2023.

COLD AS (ZOMBIE) ICE – Three Floyds Brewing to Release New Undead Double Pale Ale

Three Floyds Brewing’s newest beer, Zombie Ice, will make its debut on Thursday, February 23. Crafted with an unholy amount of Citra hops, the undead double pale ale comes in at 8.5% ABV and 55 IBU – a bolder spin on their award-winning Zombie Dust, which continues to make waves in the craft beer industry since its release in 2010. 

175 Craft Breweries to Pour at Collaboration Fest on March 25

175 craft breweries, and more than 120 collaboration beers, will be showcased at Collaboration Fest. Hosted by the Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG) and presented by On Tap Credit Union, this original collaborative craft beer festival pairs CBG member breweries with craft breweries both near and far.

Legislative efforts to change how spirits-based ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages are categorized gathered momentum this week, as lawmakers in Texas introduced a new bill that would give greater market access to packaged spirits-based cocktails under 17% ABV, allowing them to be sold in grocery and convenience stores, while a Washington State Senate committee passed a bill to adjust how the products are taxed.

Bend, Oregon-headquartered Deschutes Brewery has launched Tropical Fresh IPA, the newest year-round offering in its family of Fresh-branded IPAs. Charlotte-based NoDa Brewing has rolled out Cheerwine Ale, a new year-round offering brewed in collaboration with Cheerwine, a North Carolina-based cherry soda.
