Santa Fe Brewing Company (SFBC) is excited to welcome new Brewmaster Bert Boyce to the team. Boyce has worked in the brewing industry for 20 years, at breweries ranging from Sudwerk in Davis, CA to the Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams). While with Sam Adams, Bert spent 4 years as the Brewing Manager for the R&D brewery in Boston, during which time he tested many new brewing techniques and equipment designs, as well as developed several new beer styles.

America’s first beer-focused talk & variety show, The Brew Night Show will once again take place at Denver’s revered Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, in the historic May D&F Clocktower at 16th and Arapahoe streets on Denver’s 16th Street pedestrian mall.
The Rhode Island Brewers Guild launched a new campaign this week to promote the local beer industry. The Guild has put together a 30-second television advertisement that will run on local stations from September through November. This weekend The Unknown Brewing Company brewed what they are calling a Supermegaultra Collaboration. The beer “Garage Warrior” is a collaboration IPA between the brewery and almost 80 local homebrewers, including the Carolina BrewMasters, to brew one batch of beer.
Firestone Walker Brewing Company’s Velvet Merkin barrel-aged oatmeal stout is set to return with its third bottled vintage—and this one promises to be the best yet. Velvet Merkin has always been the barrel-aged version of Firestone Walker’s seasonal Velvet Merlin oatmeal stout. What’s different this time is that the 2015 Velvet Merkin includes a barrel-aged lot of an experimental milk stout version of Velvet Merlin.
