Widmer Brothers Brewing today announced the arrival of Hefe in cans. Hefe has been the brewery’s flagship beer for 30 years, and the Original American Hefeweizen is still the best-selling craft beer in Oregon. To celebrate Hefe’s 30th anniversary this year, the storied, award-winning beer will be available in 12-ounce cans in six- and 12-packs for the first time ever in the Oregon market exclusively.
Craft Brew Alliance will break ground on its new 100,000-barrel Kona Brewing facility on Friday, commemorating the event with a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony and the limited-release of “First Rock Pale Ale.”
Creature Comforts Brewing Company is bringing back seasonal release Cosmik Debris this March. For the first time, consumers will be able to enjoy Cosmik Debris in cans as it was previously only offered on draft. Cosmik Debris is the brewery’s second seasonal beer to be packaged in cans for release.
MadeWest Brewing Company of Ventura, CA starts distribution of their beer in Southern California on Monday, March 14th. Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties will be the first to receive shipments of MadeWest, as distributed by Stone Distribution—the distribution arm of one of the true cornerstones of American craft brewing.

Bell’s Brewery today announced plans to expand distribution to Mississippi. The Michigan-based craft brewery has signed agreements with five local wholesalers for coverage throughout the state. Capital City Beverages, Clark Beverage Group, F.E.B. Distributing, Stokes Distributing Company, and Magnolia Beverage Company will distribute Bell’s beers beginning later this month.
Constellation Brands Beer Division announced today a voluntary recall of select Corona Extra 12-packs and 18-packs of 12 ounce clear bottles with deposit labels in the U.S. and Guam that may contain small particles of glass. This recall is very limited in scope, as potentially affected bottles represent less than one-tenth of one percent of Corona Extra 12-ounce clear bottles in the marketplace. Production codes for the potentially impacted bottles are listed below.

Green Man Brewery, which has been a staple in the Asheville beer scene since its conception in 1997, finally has a canned offering available. Wayfarer IPA is one of Green Man’s most popular rotating offerings that has been offered in 12 oz. bottles in the past. This Citra-forward IPA will now be available in 12 oz. can 6-packs.
