David Flores has been named chief operating officer of Zeon, one of the country’s leading innovators of Point of Purchase signage and the strategic partner of choice to create marketing approaches that help customers build and reinforce their brands. As COO Flores’ responsibilities will include managing Zeon’s day-to-day operations in Creative Services, domestic and international manufacturing, and to oversee the company’s warehouse and fulfillment processes.

Alabama ‘Growler Bill’ Awaiting Governor’s Signature

Alabama lawmakers passed a bill late yesterday evening that, if signed into law, would grant limited direct-sales privileges to brewers in the state and clean up other other outdated alcohol industry regulations. Now en-route to governor Robert Bentley’s desk, Senate Bill 211, the companion draft of House Bill 176, would give small brewers in Alabama the right to sell up to 288 oz. of beer directly to consumers for off-premise consumption.

Rochester Mills to Release Tongue Tied Cherry Saison

Rochester Mills Beer Co. & Production Brewery announce a 2016 seasonal release of Tongue Tied Cherry Saison, a Belgian style wheat ale set for April 4th. Tongue Tied Cherry Saison was introduced as a draft only release last year. Due to the popularity of the beer and the investment in can labeling technology, Tongue Tied will now be available for enjoyment during the Spring and Summer seasons on draft and packaged in 16 oz. aluminum cans across Rochester Mills’ full distribution network beginning April 4.

Sun King Brewery Signs with Indiana Beverage

Beginning this month, Sun King Brewery, Indianapolis’ largest beer brewer, will expand the distribution of its fresh, local, beer through Indiana Beverage, one of Indiana’s largest distributors of beer and wine, to 24 counties across northern Indiana, including four of the state’s biggest cities: South Bend, Fort Wayne, Hammond and Gary. With this announcement, Sun King beer will be available throughout the entire state of Indiana for the first time in the brewery’s history.

Former Popchips CEO and the snack brand’s current co-chairman, Paul Davis, has joined Craft Brew Alliance’s board of directors, the beer company announced yesterday. Davis, whose resume includes running companies like Coinstar/Redbox, Kettle Foods and Barilla America, brings more than “three decades of consumer packaged goods experience” to the CBA board, the company said in a statement.
