Big Lake Holdings closed on the purchase of 13 West 7th street in Downtown Holland, the recent home of Serafina’s Bar and Grill and the former location of Via Maria. The building will serve as the new brewpub and restaurant for Big Lake Brewing currently located in the Ottawa Village Center on the North Side of Holland.

Short’s Brewing Company announces the release of Prolonged Enjoyment and Starcut Ciders Immortal Jelly. Prolonged Enjoyment, a Session India Pale Ale billed as “Unquestionably quaffable for those long days needed to remain upright and refreshed at the same time” and Immortal Jelly, a semi-dry hard cider fermented with Michigan apples and four different berries will both be distributed as seasonal products and available throughout the spring while supplies last.
The world’s largest beer company has threatened to pullback a $2,500 sponsorship of South Boston’s famed St. Patrick’s Day Parade if organizers do not allow a group of gay war veterans to march. Anheuser-Busch InBev today said it would reconsider its support of the event after parade organizers, the South Boston Allied War Veterans Council, voted 9-4 on Tuesday to exclude OUTVETS, a non-political organization dedicated to honoring the service of LGBTQ veterans.

This March, Block 15 Brewing Company will release two new spring entries in their Seasonal Bottle Conditioned Series—Cosmic Cold Brew, Double Ristretto and Here Comes the Sunshine. Both will be available bottled and on tap in early spring—with distribution to bottle shops and tap houses around Oregon and parts of Washington. Bottle conditioned using Block 15’s custom-fabricated mixing tank, both beers are designed to be enjoyed both freshly bottled and cellared.
