Scarlet Lane Brewing is excited to announce the next territory expansion and new partnerships in Northern Indiana. The company will be working with Calumet Breweries and United Beverage to close out the distribution in the Northern half of the state. Currently, Scarlet Lane has been working with Aalco Distributing in the Northeast counties of Indiana. The brewery plans to offer a selection of its core brands and seasonal beers for both draft and package accounts for all of Northern Indiana.

Ska Brewing announced this week they will be canning bottles—and will be packaging their 12 oz. beers entirely with cans. Ska, the second craft brewery in the country to package any of its beer in cans (behind fellow Colorado craft canners Oskar Blues), is moving their entire flagship portfolio to an all-can lineup. The new cans will start hitting shelves in all of Ska’s markets on March 1, 2016.

Moonlight Meadery has set a date for the release of Utopian (batch #9) for February 18th, 2016. This traditional mead has been fermented and aged for the past 5 years in American oak barrels that Boston Beer Company so generously provided to Moonlight Meadery, a fledgling meadery back in January 2011.

The North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor and the renowned Asheville-based brewery have formed a partnership that will get Wicked Weed’s traditional craft beer styles and their niche sour beers in the hands of patrons of area bars, restaurants, and bottle shops.
Riptide Brewing Company of Naples, Florida announces it has signed a distribution contract with JJ Taylor Distributing. Riptide will begin distributing kegs of their Paddlepuss blonde and Undertow IPA beers to a select group of bars, restaurants and specialty retailers.

Hana hou! Following the debut of its exclusive-to-Hawaii beer series last year, Kona Brewing Company is brewing another round of seasonal Makana Series craft beers. Like last year’s series, each of the beers will be inspired by one of the four natural elements and be made with local island ingredients. Kona Brewing fans fell in love with the small-batch beer series, purchasing thousands of pints of the innovative brews, and, in the process, raised $57,662 for four Hawaii non-profit organizations dedicated to restoring and preserving the state’s precious natural resources.

This Hand Picked Series pays homage to the old days by using fresh fruit from our local farmers and the same pure water from the ice plant. We then barrel age our trappist-inspired Belgian-style pale ale with fresh peaches, brettanomyces and lactobacillus for a year while we wait for the next harvests to become available.
