Fort Collins Brewery to Release Vintage Maibock, Retire Recipe

On April 28th, Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) is bringing Maibock back for a final farewell. FCB reserved a small amount of this 2015 batch for cellaring. After aging for a year, this German-style brew resurfaces again, just in time for bock weather. But all good things must come to an end and 2016 will mark the 12th year releasing this vintage brew, one last time.

Stone Brewing’s 20th Anniversary celebration continues with the encore edition of Stone 6th Anniversary Porter. Beginning this week, this imperial smoked porter conditioned with American and French oak chips will arrive in 22-ounce bottles and on draft. True to the Stone 20th Anniversary Encore series, Stone maintained the original recipe and features artwork evocative of its first time on store shelves. Triton Brewing Company just released their first Gose, the Axl Gose. Originating in Goslar, Germany, early in the 16th Century, Gose is an unfiltered wheat ale with tart citrus flavors and a touch of salinity. True to style, Triton Brewing’s Axl Gose is brewed with orange peel, coriander and Himalayan Pink Salt, and is inoculated with lactobacillus bacteria after the boil to add sourness.

First Beverage Group Acts as Financial Advisor to Devils Backbone Brewing Company

First Beverage Financial, the investment banking arm of First Beverage Group, announced that it acted as the financial advisor to Devils Backbone Brewing Company in its agreement to sell to The High End, the craft business unit of Anheuser-Busch. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in the second quarter of the year, were not disclosed.

Andrews Distributing Picks Up Armadillo Ale Works

The Andrews Distributing team is excited to announce a partnership with local craft brewery Armadillo Ale Works of Denton, Texas. Armadillo Ale Works was founded in 2010 by Yianni Arestis and Bobby Mullins. In early 2011, the pair held a Kickstarter campaign to fund their plan to bring craft beer to Denton. After a successful campaign, they decided to create two all-natural, hand-crafted, Prohibition-inspired sodas to continue raising funds.

Small Town Brewery (“Small Town”) and Wisconsin Brewing Company announced today that they will be partnering exclusively to launch the 10.7% ABV version of Not Your Father’s Root Beer nation-wide. This iteration marks the third nationally distributed product from Small Town Brewery after last year’s rollouts of Not Your Father’s Root Beer 5.9% and Not Your Father’s Ginger Ale. Until now, this higher strength version of Not Your Father’s Root Beer has only been available in limited quantities in the Chicagoland area.
