Founders Brewing to Release Backwoods Bastard

Founders Brewing Co. announced today that they will release Backwoods Bastard this month as the fifth installment of the Barrel-Aged Series. A classic Scotch ale aged in bourbon barrels, Backwoods Bastard debuted in 2005 when Founders first started experimenting with aging beer in barrels. Starting in 2007, Backwoods Bastard was also the first beer Founders matured in the former gypsum mine caves that now house more than 7,000 barrels of this experimental range.
