Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) is excited to announce significant changes to packaging artwork, beer recipes and the introduction of canning in March 2016. Most beers will be altered or completely revamped in some fashion. This change, according to General Manager and Co-Owner Tina Peters, is a reflection of where FCB is headed.
Effective January 2016, Dr. Heather Pilkington takes the lead as Executive Director at First Key Consulting. Heather is a licensed Professional Engineer and received her Ph.D. in Biochemical Engineering from Western University in Canada. Prior to joining First Key she held positions at Labatt and AB InBev, managing brewing process development and brewery support departments both at the national and international level.
The Sam Adams brewers today announced the anticipated release of Samuel Adams Cold Snap, a Belgian-style unfiltered White Ale with a bright snap of seasonal citrus, fruit and floral spices, perfect for snapping out of the cold weather funk. Inspired by the season and its changing weather, Sam Adams is also asking drinkers how they celebrate the weather with Cold Snap in hand. Via Twitter, @SamuelAdamsBeer will be tracking weather-related social posts across the country in real time with the “Cold Snap Cold Map”. The city that tweets the most about the weather will be awarded Cold Snap parties this season.

A team featuring some of Portland’s favorite entrepreneurs is pleased to announce its plans for Wayfinder Beer, a new brewery/restaurant coming to Portland’s Central Eastside neighborhood. Founders Charlie Devereux (Double Mountain Brewery & Taproom), Matthew Jacobson (Sizzle Pie, Quality Bar, Relapse Records), and Rodney Muirhead (Podnah’s Pit, La Taq) are busy converting a 100-year-old brick warehouse into a classic craft brewery, with a 100+ seat beer hall and an equally large outdoor seating area. Current plans call for opening in Spring 2016.
