Tempe, AZ – This February, Four Peaks Brewing Company celebrates the 3rd release of it Spring Seasonal, Short Hop Session IPA, to the Arizona market. This full bodied, low ABV IPA with a citrusy finish will be available at the original Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe, Four Peaks Grill & Tap in Scottsdale, the Four Peaks Tasting Room on Wilson St., Four Peaks Sky Harbor Airport and for state-wide retail distribution through Hensley Beverage Company beginning February 22, 2016.
This venue-friendly session beer will be available at select locations within Chase Field, home of Arizona’s Diamondbacks. Look for it to make its debut inside Talking Stick Resort Arena, home of the Phoenix Suns beginning in March. Short Hop will be prominently featured at Cactus League Stadiums in metro-Phoenix throughout the month of March. Visiting fans, locals and concessionaires alike will enjoy the full flavored IPA that can be enjoyed throughout the game.
Four Peaks developed a completely new recipe, independent of the Hop Knot and Raj IPA recipes, with a full round body that shines a light on the hop character of an IPA but weighs in at only 5% ABV. The great citrusy, piney, and overall hoppy character is attributed an experimental hop, 04190, in addition to Cascade and Eureka. United, these hops give Short Hop a fruity and slightly resinous hop-forward character. In addition to a variety of malts to create a fuller body, a hint of rye was added for complexity.
“This session IPA is perfect for the kickoff of the baseball season,” says Jim Roper, Brewery Manager. “It’s what folks are looking for on an Arizona Spring afternoon – a crisp, fresh beer that is easy drinking and isn’t high in alcohol.”
