On December 8, 2015, Heavy Seas Beer will celebrate its 20th year of brewing craft beer in Baltimore. To commemorate, the brewery will release an anniversary ale and host special events in Baltimore and other markets.

Lovers of Michigan craft beer will be celebrating the holidays this year with another 12 days of Milkshake Stout. Thanks to Rochester Mills Beer Co. and a host of premium craft beer bars and restaurants throughout Michigan, Ohio and Florida who will be hosting this progressive tap takeover event, December 9-20, 2015. Second Self Beer Company is expanding its production output and facilities, including a new tasting room. The Georgia craft brewery opened in Atlanta in fall 2014, and due to demand, its beer production has been at capacity since March 2015. Starting in early 2016, Second Self is adding new tanks and an adjacent space to the brewery in order to increase production.

The inaugural draft launch of San Miguel Pale Pilsen Beer in the United States has been much anticipated and took place during the 78th Annual National Beer Wholesalers Association Convention at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, NV from October 11-14, 2015. Independent wholesale beverage distributor Arizona Beer and Cider has announced that Devil’s Canyon Brewing Company’s sustainably handcrafted products are now available throughout the State of Arizona. The Brewery’s name is derived from the original Spanish designation for the City of Belmont, California – “la Canada del Diablo” or Devil’s Canyon, where the brewery was founded before relocating to a larger facility in 2014.

Dorchester Brewing Company today announces their plans to open a dedicated 25,000 square foot contract brewing facility at 1246 Massachusetts Ave in Spring 2016. The brewery, which is currently under development, will fill an industry void by supporting regional craft brewers with beer production, packaging and marketing support in a state-of-the-art facility, which will also feature tours, a 2,000+ square foot tasting room and a collaborative workspace open to brewers and the local startup community.

The evening of November 6th was a night to remember for seven Oregon State University (OSU) Fermentation Science students. Four walked away with checks for $10,000 while three others pocketed $15,000 – all in the name of Oregon beer icon and late founder of Rogue Ales, Jack Joyce. In its second year, the Jack Joyce Scholarships awarded a total $85,000, nearly tripling last year’s funds.
