Lost Abbey Hires New Brand Manager

Port Brewing Co, The Lost Abbey, and The Hop Concept are proud to announce the hiring of Norm Stackhouse as their new Brand Manager. “I’ve been a huge fan of Port Brewing, The Lost Abbey and most recently The Hop Concept for quite a while,” said Norm.

Kona Brewing’s Small-Batch Makana Series to Return

Hana hou! Following the debut of its exclusive-to-Hawaii beer series last year, Kona Brewing Company is brewing another round of seasonal Makana Series craft beers. Like last year’s series, each of the beers will be inspired by one of the four natural elements and be made with local island ingredients. Kona Brewing fans fell in love with the small-batch beer series, purchasing thousands of pints of the innovative brews, and, in the process, raised $57,662 for four Hawaii non-profit organizations dedicated to restoring and preserving the state’s precious natural resources.

Just days after Pennsylvania’s Victory Brewing announced it would merge with New York’s Southern Tier to form the family office-backed Artisanal Brewing Ventures, a pair of established breweries — Chicago’s Goose Island and Delaware-based brewpub chain Iron Hill — today announced transactions of their own.

Iron Hill to Expand Brewpub Chain in Mid-Atlantic

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant (“Iron Hill”), a leading upscale brewpub chain featuring award winning craft beers and from-scratch cooking, has partnered with A&M Capital Opportunities (“AMCO”), a group within A&M Capital focusing on growth-oriented, lower middle market companies, to support Iron Hill’s expansion into new Mid-Atlantic markets. Founded in 1996 by home brewers Kevin Finn and Mark Edelson, and restaurateur Kevin Davies in Newark, DE, Iron Hill has grown from its original location to 11 units serving the greater Philadelphia/Wilmington region.

Shebeen Brewing, Onyx Moonshine Release New Collaboration

Shebeen Brewing Company announces the release of its first Onyx Moonshine – Secret Stash Whiskey barrel-aged beer, Fuligin Imperial IPA, marking the start of an ongoing collaboration between the two Connecticut beverage producers. The Shebeen-Onyx collaboration series will feature a lineup of high-gravity, small-batch, barrel-aged beers. Fuligin Imperial IPA is a supremely rich, imperialized version of their Black Hop IPA laced with subtle notes of whiskey and oak acquired while aging in the barrels.

Dust Bowl Expands Northern California Distribution

Dust Bowl Brewing Company announces the addition of Craft Beer Distribution Company to its growing list of distributor partners. Located in Arcata, California, Craft Beer Distribution Company serves Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, allowing Dust Bowl Brewing Co.’s products to reach upper Northern California. To begin, the company will sell Dust Bowl’s flagship IPA, Hops of Wrath, along with other year-rounds, Hobo Pilsner and Therapist Imperial IPA.

Deschutes Brewery Expands Michigan Distribution Footprint

Deschutes Brewery announced today its craft beers will be available in more areas of Michigan beginning March of 2016. The Oregon-based brewery will partner with H. Cox and Son for distribution in and around the Traverse City area, Griffin Beverage Company to fill out the eastern portion of Northern Michigan as well as part of the Upper Peninsula, and Eastown Distributors for Metro Detroit.

Creature Comforts Brewing to Expand Production Capacity

Creature Comforts Brewing Company is expanding its brewing operations with the addition of four new 120-bbl fermenters and one 120-bbl brite tank arriving for installation today. Since opening in 2014, the brewery has invested heavily back into operations, with more than $1.25 million dollars dedicated to new production, packaging, and lab equipment. This expansion will allow the brewery to gradually increase brewing production from its current annual capacity of 15,000-bbls up to 23,000-bbls.

Reuben’s Brews to Release Cans

Reuben’s Brews is adding something new to its beer family – cans! Chosen to provide another packaging option for on-the-go beer lovers, last month Reuben’s installed its brand new American-made canning line built by Colorado’s Wild Goose Canning at its 5010 14th Ave location. This new system will initially allow production of 70 cases an hour, with future upgrade capabilities.

Coronado Brewing Expands to Rhode Island

Coronado Brewing’s award-winning beers are expanding in the east coast to include Rhode Island, arriving on draft and introducing packaged beer in the spring. Coronado Brewing’s Core Series will be offered including Islander IPA, Orange Avenue Wit, Mermaid’s Red, as well as releases of seasonal Crown Series favorites such as Sock Knocker and 20th Anniversary Ale.

Grand Teton Brewing Company, known throughout the West for their exceptional craft brews, is proud to announce the second release in their Brewers’ Series, Brett Saison. Grand Teton Brewing’s second release in their Brewers’ Series in bottles is a Dry Hopped Brett Saison aged in wine barrels. Starting with a Saison using traditional malts and hops, the brewers then pitched a simple yet complex strain of yeast: Brettanomyces Drei (Brett).
