All the Flavor, None of the Slowdown
Available in the Milwaukee area in June through Beer Capitol Distributing
Waukesha, WI, June 2026 — Raised Grain Brewing Company, the craft brewery built on bold, expressive beer, today announced the launch of LowDown Low Alcohol Beer, a new lineup of full-flavored craft beers brewed to 2.5% ABV. LowDown arrives in June across the Milwaukee area through Beer Capitol Distributing, available in 6-pack 12 oz. cans, half barrels, and sixth barrels.
The lineup includes three styles—LowDown Hazy, LowDown IPA, and LowDown Lager—each crafted with the same rigor and ingredients as Raised Grain’s flagship beers. The difference is in the result: all of the flavor, a fraction of the alcohol.
The Raised Grain Standard, Turned Down—Not Out
Raised Grain built its reputation on beers that don’t take the easy road: IPAs with real punch, Belgian styles with depth, lagers that earn their simplicity. LowDown is the product of a year’s worth of research and development—pushing against the brewery’s identity not to abandon it, but to sharpen it.
The goal was never to make a beer for people who don’t like beer. It was to make a beer for people who love it.
“We spent a year developing this. Every batch, every tweak was aimed at one thing: can we lower the alcohol without the drinker noticing anything missing? The answer is yes,” says Dr. Scott Kelley, Owner and Brewmaster, Raised Grain Brewing Company. “LowDown drinks like a full craft beer because it is one. The only thing we took out was the alcohol.”
Solving a Real Problem for Real Drinkers
The craft beer category has seen a wave of non-alcoholic options in recent years—but drinkers who reach for them often find that the beer flavor isn’t quite there. LowDown exists in a different space: not non-alcoholic, but intentionally low-alcohol, designed to satisfy the craving for a real craft beer experience while giving drinkers control over how their day or evening unfolds.
The occasion writes itself: a long afternoon on the patio, an early start to a game day, an all-day backyard party where you want to be in it from noon to sunset. LowDown is the beer that fits those moments—without asking you to make a trade-off on taste.
“More and more, I see drinkers have one or two regular beers and then reach for something lighter—not because they don’t love beer, but because they want to stay sharp and keep enjoying themselves. The problem is that craft NA beers often don’t carry the craft flavor like real beer does. LowDown solves that. You get the bold, familiar craft flavor and you stay in control of where the night goes,” says Nick Reistad, Owner and COO, Raised Grain Brewing Company.
