Mass Bay Brewing Names Jon London as CMO

Mass Bay Brewing Company’s search for a CMO is over. The Boston-headquartered craft beer company today announced the hiring of Jon London, who will take the post on September 3. London, who spent a decade at Boston Beer Company between 2006 and 2016, will be tasked with overseeing Mass Bay’s portfolio of brands, which includes beer brands Harpoon, UFO and Clown Shoes, as well as Arctic Summer hard seltzer and City Roots hard cider.

Baxter Brewing Founder Luke Livingston to Retire; Jenn Lever Named President

Baxter Brewing founder Luke Livingston announced Monday that he will retire from the brewery, effective on September 13. Jenn Lever, Baxter’s current operations manager, will take over as president of the Lewiston, Maine-based craft brewery. Livingston, 34, who founded Baxter in 2010, said in his retirement announcement that it was “time to find my next adventure.”

Lord Hobo Cuts 8 Jobs, But Plans to Add Hundreds More as it Opens New Taprooms

Lord Hobo founder Daniel Lanigan told Brewbound that the company cut eight jobs across sales, marketing, production and taproom staff this week, which he classified as part of the “normal course of business.”

Lagunitas Brewing Company Names New CMO

Lagunitas Brewing Company has named Kelly Murnaghan, the former vice president of marketing at Vans, as its new chief marketing officer. The Heineken-owned craft brewery announced Murnaghan’s hiring on Thursday afternoon. Murnaghan, who started earlier this week, will join the Petaluma, California-based craft brewery’s leadership team and report directly to CEO Maria Stipp.

Bear Republic Brewing Company co-founder Richard R. Norgrove will step down as CEO, the Northern California-based company announced Monday. Mr. Norgorve’s son, Richard G., will take over as the company’s chief executive. In addition to the younger Norgrove’s transition into the CEO role, Bear Republic named long-time employee Peter Kruger as its new chief operating officer. He takes over for Richard G. Norgrove, who also goes by “Ricardo.”

The Saint Louis Brewery today named Fran Caradonna, who joined the company earlier this year, as its next chief executive officer.
