Rochester Mills to Release Oktoberfest Celebration Lager

Rochester Mills Beer Co. & Production Brewery announce a 2015 seasonal release date of July 31 for its Oktoberfest Celebration Lager, a malty, German-style Lager (or Märzen) with low to moderate hop bitterness featuring a medium body and brilliant amber color.

Colorado Brewers Guild Brings Hop the Vote Back to GABF

Today the Colorado Brewers Guild announced the return of Hop the Vote to the Great American Beer Festival (GABF). Hop the Vote is a spirited but friendly brewing competition held between Colorado State House of Representatives and Colorado State Senators. Brewing will take place this month with voting occurring during the first three sessions at GABF on September 24 – 26.

Rogue Declares Pendleton Day

Pendleton Pilsner, a collision of Oregon craftsmanship from Rogue Ales and Pendleton Woolen Mills, will officially be unveiled next week during Pendleton Bike Week, July 22-26, culminating with a launch party on the lawn of the historic Pendleton Woolen Mill site.

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers Releases Suds Session Ale

Suds Session Ale is a unique, frothy suspect, that’s hard to pick out of a police lineup. The beer was inspired by Vienna Lagers, but fermented with California ale yeast. It associates with English Pale Ales, minus the earthy hops. Eyewitnesses have confirmed that Suds Session Ale is a brass colored, light-bodied, malt-forward session beer that’s loaded with flavor. It will be released year-round by Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, on draft and in cans, starting in August.

Devils Backbone to Add 5 New States in Next 12 Months

On the heels of a $7 million brewery expansion, fast-growing Virginia craft brewery Devils Backbone today announced it would expand distribution to neighboring North Carolina, beginning in August. The company also plans to launch in Tennessee and West Virginia later this year, as part an effort to enter five new states over the next 12 months, according to Hayes Humphreys, chief operating officer.
