Empire Brewing Company surpassed a major milestone at the Empire Farmstead Brewery construction site in Cazenovia, New York with last week’s delivery and installation of a brand new 60BBL automated brewhouse. Shooting for grand opening in May, Empire Brewing Company plans to bottle their liquid for the first time ever this spring.

Longtime New Belgium sales director Joe Menetre is departing the Colorado-headquartered craft brewery after about 18 years, Brewbound has learned. Meanwhile, Adam Lambert, another longtime beer industry sales executive who left Dogfish Head for a position at the smaller New Holland Brewing in December 2014, will depart for Anheuser-Busch InBev this month

Southern Tier Adds ‘3 Citrus Peel Out’ to Seasonal Lineup

Southern Tier Brewing Co. announced today that beginning April 2016 it will add 3 Citrus Peel Out into its seasonal lineup. 3 Citrus Peel Out is an Imperial Wheat Ale brewed with blood orange juice, tangerine and grapefruit peels. 3 Citrus Peel Out is the newest in the company’s seasonal Imperial Series.

Payette Brewing Expands Distribution to Seattle

Payette Brewing is adding Seattle to its distribution footprint beginning mid-February with Rustler IPA, North Fork Lager, and Rodeo Rye Pale (Spring Seasonal). Payette was the first Idaho brewery to can beer and it excited to bring their products in draft and canned form to more consumers in the Northwest with The Odom Corporation.

Epic Brewing is pleased to announce its expansion into the Massachusetts market which marks the twentieth state nationally. Distribution will be handled by Atlantic Importing and Distributing Company and will cover the entire state.

Sweetwater CEO Departs; Longtime Distributor Executive to Oversee Commercial Operations

Six months after promoting then-CFO Kim Jones to CEO, Sweetwater Brewing and the former executive have parted ways, Brewbound has learned. Tucker Berta Sarkisian, a spokeswoman with Sweetwater, confirmed Jones’ departure, saying only that she had moved on. In a separate but related move, Sweetwater has also hired Paul “PK” Kirbabas, the current director of sales administration for Georgia’s United Distributors

Coronado Brewing to Release Sock Knocker IPA

Coronado Brewing Company is set to release fan-favorite Sock Knocker IPA in February as a part of the brewery’s Crown Series. Craft drinkers have now come to anticipate this beer’s annual release, but this year the company plans to switch things up. Coronado Brewing will be releasing the beer for the first time in six-packs as part of its spring seasonal release program, stretching February to April.
