In this week’s distribution roundup: Colorado’s Left Hand Brewing begins distributing in Wyoming, the 37th state where its products are sold; California’s Knee Deep Brewing Company plans to enter Kansas this summer and San Diego’s Alesmith Brewing Company will soon begin selling its beers in Sin City.
Elevation Beer Co. of Poncha Springs, Colo., and The Rare Beer Club®, which ships unique craft beers nationwide, are teaming up on a special limited release beer to benefit the Pints for Prostates campaign. Elevation Elevated PSA Wheat Wine Aged in Sauvignon Blanc Oak Barrels was brewed exclusively to create awareness and raise funds to support the mission of Pints for Prostates, which uses the universal language of beer to reach men with an important health message.
Short’s Brewing Company of Bellaire and Elk Rapids, MI announces distribution of Psychedelic Cat Grass, a triple dry hopped American India Pale Ale. Billed as a “Without Delay IPA,” Short’s plans to package and distribute the beer within 24 hours; allowing customers to enjoy this beer on the same day it was packaged, resulting in out-of-this world freshness.
In early January 2016, Burial Beer Co. announced their plans for second brewery also located in Asheville, NC and plans for a new side project. The brewery, which opened in 2013 with a one-barrel system, quickly outgrew the home-brew size brewery into a ten-barrel operation. Now having just celebrated their third anniversary in June, the brewery will expand distribution outside their home state.

Indianapolis brewery Flat12 Bierwerks is excited to announce the mid-July release of the limited edition brew, Pinko!. Additionally, the fan favorite, Russian Imperial Stout (10.5% ABV | 86 IBU) is now available in 8oz stubby cans– a craft beer industry first. This epic stout is released only twice a year in limited quantities. Once in mid-July for their annual Christmas In July tapping event and once in November for their Black Friday barrel-aged beer roll.
Big Storm Brewing Company, Florida’s fastest growing craft brewery, announced the official release of Categories 1 through 4 of its Belgian-style Hurricane Series. Released in conjunction with the Atlantic Hurricane Season, each offering is named for the different levels defined by the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale, based on a hurricane’s sustained wind speed. As hurricanes grow stronger with each category, so does the ABV in the Big Storm Hurricane series. As consumers continue to enjoy craft beer in record numbers, The Hurricane Series has been immediately popular.
San Diego Breweries to Support Orlando Victims with “All You Need Is Love” Collaboration Beer ReleasesIn the wake of the recent Orlando tragedy, Hillcrest Brewing Company approached Karl Strauss Brewmaster, Paul Segura, with the idea of brewing a beer to help raise funds for the victims and their families. Within hours, graphics and a recipe were developed for the brew dubbed All You Need Is Love and a call to action was sent out to San Diego brewers encouraging participation in the movement.

Beer production has officially begun at 7 Seas Brewing’s new facility in Tacoma with the release of their new Water Chopper Gose. The newest of 7 Seas Brewing’s five canned offerings, Water Chopper Gose, will be available beginning June 17, 2016 throughout Washington State.
