Coronado Brewing Company announced yesterday that it would expand distribution to Texas, signing with Brown Distributing. The San Diego-based company’s beers will be available in the Lone Star State this month, according to a press release.

MagnoliaBrewing will release their seasonal Winter Warmer Ale on Wednesday,November 23rd. An annual tradition, the Magnolia team, led by brewmaster/founder Dave McLean, has been brewing the ale every fall for 19years, always releasing it on the day before Thanksgiving. This year, Magnolia will offer six iterations of the ale over the course of the holiday season: 2016’s cask and draft brews, 2015’s vintage ale, and three more batches aged in wooden barrels.
The Unknown Brewing Company, located in Charlotte’s South End, is set to unveil their new beer called Stupid, a Flanders Red Ale, on Saturday, December 3. The Flanders-style ale will be sold in 500mL bottles and available on draft in The Unknown’s taproom.
Sierra Nevada yesterday named Joe Whitney as the company’s first chief commercial officer. Whitney, who began with the company in 2006, had been serving as the vice president of sales. The announcement comes after a six month-long effort to create a senior leadership team that, according to Whitney, will be tasked with doubling production over the next decade and transforming the company into the largest independently-owned craft brewery in the U.S.
Online sales of alcoholic beverages in the United States are on the rise, and the industry is expected to generate $614 million in revenue this year, according to market research firm IBISWorld.
