Monday Night Brewing Releases Whirling Dervish

ATLANTA — Whirling Dervish, Monday Night Brewing’s newest seasonal release, is a classic dry Irish Stout with coffee roasted from long-time local partners Batdorf & Bronson.

“Don’t let the low ABV (4.9%) fool you,” said creative brewer Josh Johnson. “We packed a lot of roasty and toasty flavor into this beer. It’s an everyday drinker on cold winter nights – or anytime you need a little coffee kick.”

Ren Doughty, Outreach and Customer Support Manager at Batdorf & Bronson, adds, “We went through several different blends of our coffee with the brewers, and we kept coming back to our Whirling Dervish blend. Darkly roasted, Whirling Dervish exhibits an uncommon balance of velvety body and delicate acidity. The flavor notes of chocolate, molasses, toasted almond and orange zest work so well with the beer.”

Whirling Dervish can be enjoyed on its own, but as a dry Irish stout, it pairs well with oysters, beef stew, grilled meats…and even vanilla ice cream.

Whirling Dervish makes its taproom debut at Monday Night Brewing’s West Midtown location on Friday, January 20 from 12 noon until 4 pm. The beer will be available on draft and 6-pack cans will also be available for purchase for $10 each. Batdorf & Bronson will be on hand with samples of Whirling Dervish coffee.

Look for Whirling Dervish in Georgia and Alabama markets by the end of January.
