MINNEAPOLIS — Granite City Food & Brewery announced today that Phil Costner has been appointed as the CEO of Granite City Food & Brewery and Cadillac Ranch All American Bar & Grill. Costner joined Granite City in July to replace Rob Doran who is retiring after successfully leading the brand over the past six years.
“Granite City Food & Brewery has significantly grown in revenue, number of restaurants, and its capabilities in recent years. Building off that progress, Phil is the right person to lead the organization to new levels of success and growth in coming years,” said Doran. “Phil is bringing exceptionally strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational growth to the company. I’m confident he can and will take GCFB to the next level.”
Costner has successfully held a number of key positions and roles including: Senior Vice President of Food, Beverage & Retail at Universal Studios Hollywood, Vice President of Food & Beverage at TGI Friday’s, President and COO of La Madeleine, President of Mimi’s Café, and most recently President and CEO of the Elite Sports Bar Group. Costner is a graduate from the Culinary Institute of America.
