Firestone Walker Brewing Co. Goes Deconstructed

LOS ANGELES – Firestone Walker Brewing Company, three-time World Beer Cup champion is launching one of the most exciting and original events L.A. Beer Week has ever seen.

The brewery will be presenting, Deconstructed LA, an event that will breakdown the brewery’s rarest beer blend into its key components aided by the genius of Sean Z. Paxton, the “Home Brew Chef”.

The event will host the debut of “XV”, Firestone Walker’s 15th anniversary ale. This unique beer is a blend of eight different barrel-aged beers. For the past six years the beer has been craftily joined by local Paso Robles winemakers under the direction of Brewmaster, Matt Brynildson.

Firestone will be calling on the culinary prowess of Paxton, to add his style and knowledge of beer to each dish, incorporating all eight beers that make up XV, at the event. Sean will deconstruct the flavors in each beer then craft small dishes to create a perfect and seamless pairing.

“Sean is mildly insane and phenomenally talented; his unbridled imagination and deep understanding of the DNA of beer and food creates a real experience,” said David Walker, co-proprietor of Firestone Walker. “Add that to Matt Brynildson’s equally inspired Anniversary blend and you have something that you’ll not forget.”

Deconstructed L.A. will be held in the Bardot at the Avalon Theater from 7-10pm on October 12. Tickets are $75/person and very limited. The price will include complimentary beer, small plates, an event glass and an amazing evening with Executive Chef Sean Z. Paxton, David Walker and Matt Brynildson as hosts.
