Bell’s Brewery is marching toward a national distribution footprint.
The Michigan-based brewery yesterday announced plans to expand distribution to the craft beer soaked state of Colorado.
In a press release, the company said it had signed with six wholesalers for coverage throughout Colorado beginning this fall.
“Colorado is a state that we hear from a lot and we’ve sent a few shipments over the years that have all been incredibly well-received,” brewery founder and president Larry Bell said, via the release. “We are now in a position, from a resources perspective, to launch full-time.”
Bell’s has inked agreements with Breakthru Beverage in Denver, RMC Distributing Company in Colorado Springs, High Country Beverage in Fort Collins, Mountain Beverage in Vail Valley, B&K Distributing in Steamboat Spring and A&L Coors in Durango.
The company plans to send its entire portfolio of beers to Colorado, according to the release.
Bell’s recently expanded distribution to seven northeastern states, including Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Jersey.
And in 2017, the company expanded distribution to New Mexico and Texas.
Off-premise sales of Bell’s beer, which will now be available in 40 states, were up 4 percent through June 17, according to market research firm IRI Worldwide. In 2017, the company produced about 464,000 barrels of beer, up 10 percent, according to the Brewers Association.
A press release with additional details about the company’s latest distribution expansion is below.
