People Moves: North American Breweries Announces New CEO; Chris Steffanci Named CEO of Columbia Distributing
North American Breweries this week announced that Kris Sirchio, who has served as CEO since 2013, would step down. Adrian Lachowski, the general manager of Florida Ice and Farm Co.’s (FIFCO) Central American beer and FMB business, will take over as CEO in early February, the company said via a press release.

The shutdown comes as the Indian government moves to extradite billionaire Vijay Mallya, who owns the two breweries, from London on fraud and money laundering charges in excess of $1 billion.

As 2017 drew to a close, Rave Associates, the first distributor of Bell’s Brewery, reached a historic milestone with the Michigan craft beer institution: 1 million case equivalents sold in one year. A case equivalent is equal to one case of beer, or 24, 12 oz. cans or bottles. It’s the first time a beer distributor in Michigan, or any other state, has reached that achievement with Bell’s.
