In honor of Halloween and the latest season of “The Walking Dead,” Mispillion River Brewing has released zombie versions of its cans. With the help of Connecticut artist, Tom Ryans, the brewery converted the images on their beers Reach Around IPA, Space Otter Pale Ale, Black Tie Black IPA, and Holy Crap! Imperial Red Ale to zombies.
The talented brewing staff at Capital Brewery has been producing quality, award-winning beers for almost three decades, and while the Brewery has always been known for its lagers, three India Pale Ales (IPAs) and one American Pale Ale were recognized at the recent World Beer Championship.
Bell’s Brewery, Inc. and the Kalamazoo Coffee Co. have come together to create a brand new specialty stout. Bell’s Milchkaffee (5.5% ABV) is a sweet, milk stout brewed with a blend of two coffee beans, Pressed for Success, a medium roasted Nicaraguan coffee and Killer Beanz, a dark roasted Papua New Guinea coffee, roasted just a block away from Bell’s original brewery, next to the Eccentric Café, in downtown Kalamazoo.
Braxton Brewing Company will be releasing the first beer in their Heritage Series on Saturday, December 5, 2015. Dark Charge, an Imperial Stout, will be released in 22 oz. bottles along with three variants: Bourbon Barrel-Aged, Bourbon Barrel-Aged with Vanilla, and Bourbon Barrel-Aged with Starter Coffee. These bottles will be released during the Braxton Block Party.
Upslope Brewing Company’s Christmas Ale is coming down the chimney just in time for the holidays. The Limited Release Belgian-style Dubbel brewed with holiday spices will decorate liquor store shelves in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Texas and Arizona starting the first week in November. For the first time, the popular Christmas Ale will be sold in four-packs of 12 oz. cans.
Downtown San Luis Obispo’s longest running brew pub since prohibition, SLO Brew, recently announced plans to expand and relocate. SLO Brew is debuting in its new location on Higuera Street early 2016 and will feature an upgraded brewery, restaurant, bar and music venue.

This unfiltered White Pale Ale is Pyramid’s take on its own 3-pointer – using a combination of Cascade, Apollo and Lemon Drop hops. With 5.5% ABV, this beer rates 30 on the IBU scale. Due to limited availability fans will have to travel to “Rip City” to get a shot of this brew.

Following up the huge success of last years El Scorpion En Fuego might be hard. Not a day goes by when the brewery is not asked when they will brew that beer again. Brad Shell says it will be a while, if ever, that specific beer will come back, but he wants to keep the inspiration going year after year.
