Duvel USA’s 2026 distributor meeting presented a focused plan to build on and refresh its existing franchises, while adding a few new brands where needed – avoiding any bombshell innovation news, such as the 2025 meeting’s Quirk THC Seltzer drop.

Sapporo USA will lay off 58 Stone Brewing workers across three California facilities effective October 19, according to an August 19 Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act notice filed with the state.

Firestone Walker and Duvel USA have inked a “definitive agreement” to acquire the Stone Brewing brand from Sapporo USA.

After 14 years, Phil Leinhart is no longer the brewmaster at Brewery Ommegang. Leinhart, who joined Duvel Moortgat USA-owned, Cooperstown, New York-based craft brewery in January 2007, confirmed his exit from the company.
