A festival of cask & draft ales on Ipswich's riverfront, featuring seafood & activities for all ages

The first annual Ipswich Ale Cask & Clam Fest will feature: live music on two stages, specialty cask ales & draft beers from the Ipswich Ale Tapmobiles, food trucks, an oyster shucking competition, Seafood Tasting Pavilion, and many more activities for all ages! Not a seafood fan? A variety of food options will be available for purchase at the food trucks, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options.

Music line-up
Main Stage:
-12PM Jambalaya Horns (5-piece New Orleans brass band)
-1:30PM Poppa Cigar (10-piece afro-funk orchestra)
-3PM Portermen (Sea Shanty / a capella group)
-4:30PM Orville Giddings (Bluegrass/Jazz band)

Second Stage:
-12PM The Whammy Bars (classic rock, R&B and funk, with a modern twist)
-1:30PM What Time Is It, Mr. Fox? (cabaret, neo-soul & acoustic noir)
-3PM Wild Versatile (rock, soul, blues, jazz)
-4:30PM The Nonplussed (folk, rock, Americana, indie)
- Ipswich Poetry Group will be reading ocean & environmental themed poems between sets

The Seafood Tasting Pavilion (which will be open from 12-3pm only) will feature food samples from local restaurants competing for the judge's and people's choice awards. Participating restaurants will be encouraged to use Green Crab, a tasty, local, invasive species, in their dishes. Judges include: State Representative Brad Hill, Ipswich Shellfish Warden Scott Lapreste, Green Crab R&D Project Founder Roger Warner, Ipswich Board of Selectman Judy Field, a Representative from the Ipswich River Watershed Association, and CEO of Davio's Lynnfield, Steve DiFillippo.

Big thanks to our vendors and restaurants that have signed up so far: A&B Burgers, CopperDome Crust, The Whoo(pie) Wagon, Little Wolf Coffee Roasters, White Farms Homemade Ice Cream, SALT Kitchen and Rum Bar, Ithaki Restaurant, VASA waterfront kitchen & bar, The Port Tavern, and The Grog. Check back soon, as more restaurants are added!

There is no fee for admission to this family friendly event. Tickets for food sampling in the Tasting Pavilion are available for purchase online beginning April 1st.

All proceeds from the Ipswich Ale Cask & Clam Fest will benefit local nonprofits that help with the conservation of clams and the clamming industry: Ipswich River Watershed Association and the The Green Crab R&D Project.
