Genna Matthew is a singer-songwriter from Charlottesville, Virginia. She began writing and recording at an early age, and released her first full-length project at 18. Drawing on influences from Gillian Welch and Lucinda Williams to Ingrid Michaelson, Genna’s sound mixes timeless folk & americana roots with vocals that will catch and keep you hooked. She was 1st runner up in the 2014 Tom Tom Founders Songwriting Competition, and most recently a semi-finalist in the esteemed International Songwriting Competition. Genna is now completing her EP, My Old Habits, slated to release in Spring of 2016, featuring a full band of local favorites.
