This summer, Allagash Brewing Company is releasing a beer that’s part lager, part bubbly champagne. Two Lights is brewed with sauvignon blanc must and then fermented with both lager and champagne yeast. The beer began shipping to the entire Allagash Brewing Company distribution footprint on July 2nd.
Tennessee Brew Works, the Nashville, Tennessee based brewer of the Southern Wit, 1927 IPA, State Park Blonde, Extra Easy, Basil Ryeman and Walk the Lime announces the release of the 2018 Limited Edition Belgian Strong Ale aged in City Winery 2015 Vintage Pinot Noir barrels. The newest release, 22oz wax-dipped bottles, will be available at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 13, at the Tennessee Brew Works’ Taproom at 809 Ewing Ave, Nashville. Please limit 2 per customer.
Von Ebert Brewing, a locally owned, Portland-based brewing company is excited to announce its second grand opening in Portland’s east side. The opening date to the public is Monday, July 16th, but brewing operations will go live in September/ October.
Although it has been accessible in restaurants and bars on draft, Maui Brewing Company will release Lilikoi Saison for the first time in cans for to-go purchase. The offering will be available for a limited time beginning Monday, July 16th. The tart Saison with passionfruit is brewed with Pilsner, Wheat, Flaked Oats, and Golden Naked Oats malt and local lilikoi.

Craft Brew Alliance (CBA) is making good on its promise to innovate in products other than beer, namely low- or no-alcohol drinks. The publicly traded Portland, Oregon-based craft beer company — which makes and markets the Kona Brewing, Widmer Brothers, Redhook, Omission and Square Mile Cider brands, and has partnerships with Appalachian Mountain Brewery, Wynwood Brewing, and Cisco Brewers – has launched what it has dubbed the “pH Experiment.”
Hot Tub Scholarship Lager raises money for college students. Since 2014, Rogue Ales & Spirits has donated a portion of the sales of Hot Tub Scholarship Lager to the Jack Joyce Scholarship Fund, established in honor of the late founder of Rogue Ales & Spirits, to help students at Oregon State University’s Fermentation Science program pay for their education.
