First Beverage Group today announced that John Sheldon has joined its team as president of First Beverage Financial, the company’s investment banking division. Mr. Sheldon, who most recently was managing director of the consumer products and services group of Peter J. Solomon Company (PJSC), brings 33 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings and strategic partnerships. Mr. Sheldon will be based in New York City.

Short’s Brewing Company of Bellaire, MI announces distribution of the 5,000th batch of beer brewed and packaged at their Elk Rapids, MI production facility. Appropriately named “Batch 5000,” Short’s 5,000th batch of beer is a Triple India Pale Ale packaged in 22oz bottles. This special beer will be distributed in very limited quantities statewide by Short’s longtime distributor, Imperial Beverage.
