Speaker 1 [00:23] In addition to Eric and Nate, two of our judges, we have to the stage Justin Kendall, Zoey Locata, and of course, Justin Fonte. And we're all gonna talk a little bit about the competition, uh, some of the things that we really liked, or at least they really liked out of the finalists and opportunities that every brand has as they continue to scale. Uh, I just wanna remind folks that the winner is going to receive a $10,000 ad package from Bevnet and Brewbound, a ticket to next year's Brewbound Winter 2025 event. And a data and consulting package presented by NIQ and three-tier beverages valued at $35,000. Alright, Jess, let's start with you. I don't know, you, it's like you just keep going, keep the flow going here. So, uh, you know, did you, you watched the finals, you saw all the brands present. In general terms, what did you really like out of the presentations that you saw today?
Speaker 2 [01:21] So, exactly what our panelist just said, uh, we had such a wealth of brands this year coming from founders that recognized certain needs were not being met by the current, uh, suppliers in the market.
Speaker 1 [01:35] Yeah. Zoe, uh, things that you saw today that really impressed you and opportunities, as I mentioned, for brands to continue to grow and evolve.
Speaker 3 [01:43] I was really impressed with how basically all the brands were already starting to integrate themselves into the communities they were talking to or like physical locations that they were at. They were doing things where they were already going to what we talked about in that marketing panel about going to where consumers already are. They're making their presence with things beyond just the marketing and the product themselves. They're becoming a a community for people to feel connected to and that was really impressive to me.
Speaker 1 [02:11] Eric, let's keep the suspense, but, and if there's something that you can say, maybe a word or two about the winning brand, um, what did you, what did you see out of that that you really saw as an opportunity for them to be big?
Speaker 4 [02:22] Yeah, I, you know, as everyone's already mentioned in the previous panel talked about, there's just so much opportunity for underserved representation within the market, and as the gentleman, uh, so eloquently, genuinely, eloquently put that people just keep doing what they're doing and they're not innovating, right? And I think that they're the winner uh has such a huge opportunity to capitalize on that concept which is. Really exciting. Yeah,
Speaker 1 [02:51] Nate, uh, you know, we had two days of sampling of presentations. Eventually, one brand did rise to the top. Uh, you know, what do you think that one brand's opportunity to really become part of the fold?
Speaker 5 [03:04] Yeah, I think what, uh, all the brands did a great job of was showing the passion and authenticity of, you know, who was advocating for them or if they were the owner and that, that showed through in, in the brand that we. Um, that all the brands that we sampled, but ultimately in the brand that will be the winner, uh, I think that that's important and, uh, and, and their ability to then grow and scale as they move forward.
Speaker 1 [03:27] Justin, you get the last word of the competition.
Speaker 6 [03:30] I see a lot of beer. Like this competition, the last few years we've had such a mix of products, but it felt like there was a real return to beer this year.
Speaker 1 [03:41] Yeah, absolutely. As I've mentioned in past, past competitions, there was a brand up here on stage that didn't win the Brewbound Pitch Slam. They turned out to be probably the most successful brand that's ever pitched, that's Athletic Brewing. So I want folks to remember that even if you didn't necessarily win this competition. You might still have become, perhaps a billion dollar brand. So keep that in mind. Why is that so funny? It's possible. All right, it's time to announce the winner of the Brewbound Pitch Slam. That winner is Hooray, curl, beer, come on up. Ray Buck. Well done. Is mom still watching? Well, guess what? Hopefully she is cos she's gonna get to see you raise this into the air. Congratulations once again. The judges would like to congratulate you as well. If you can come on in, they're gonna shake your hand. We're gonna take a quick photo and then we're gonna wrap up the show. Coming in the mail.
Speaker 4 [04:52] You're welcome.
Speaker 5 [04:54] Coming into the middle
Speaker 1 [04:54] of we're going now. Outstanding, thank you so much. Justin, take it away. I don't even know
Speaker 3 [05:05] was touching me, to be honest.
Speaker 6 [05:09] So that's Brewbound Live 2024. Thank you all for being here with us. We appreciate it. We hope you consider coming back next year, because I'm guessing we're gonna be right here. So thank you for being here. I think we can all go get a beer. Safe travels, everybody. Happy holidays. We'll see you soon.
