Sufferfest Beer Releases Low-Calorie, Low-Carb Beer Enhanced with Bee Pollen

SAN FRANCISCO — Sufferfest Beer Company, a functional beer brand out of San Francisco, is excited to launch the Repeat Kolsch: a low cal, low carb, low-alcohol beer heightened with bee pollen superfood, for the healthy and active beer drinker.

“Our Repeat Kolsch boasts full flavor and body, but without the calories and carbs weighing you down,” said Caitlin Landesberg, CEO and founder of Sufferfest Beer Company. “We use bee pollen because it’s a great way to introduce an unforgettably rich flavor without juicing the stats.”

Bee pollen superfood adds honeyed floral aromas, but more significantly imparts incredible anti-inflammatory and immune system-stimulating properties.

The Repeat includes vitamins, minerals, proteins, lipids and fatty-acids, and at a mere 95 calories and 5 grams of carbs per serving, it’s a balanced, yet full-bodied kolsch. “There’s no beer out there this flavor-centric that has achieved these nutritional stats,” she added.

Sufferfest Beer Company’s breakthrough kolsch is the craft, premium and health-conscious alternative to the low-cal summer beers mass produced by macro breweries. “We thought of Repeat as an exercise in adding things — more flavor, more nutrition — rather than removing calories and carbs,” says Landesberg. “We focused on achieving balance and the result reflects that intention.”

Sufferfest beers are truly purposed-brewed to provide more benefits. The Repeat joins Sufferfest’s star functional lineup: the FKT Pale Ale, Flyby Pilsner, Taper IPA, and Shakeout Blonde.
