Short’s Brewing to Release Melt My Brain Golden Ale

ELK RAPIDS, Mich. — Short’s Brewing Company announces the return of their popular gin and tonic inspired seasonal beer, Melt My Brain. Beginning in 2018, the label artwork and packaging will annually feature a new face with a consumer’s likeness.

Melt My Brain is an Experimental Golden Ale brewed with coriander, juniper berries, limes and blended with tonic water to create the tasting experience of drinking a gin and tonic cocktail. Originally brewed in celebration of Short’s 11th Anniversary, Melt My Brain took home a silver medal in the experimental category at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival. Added to the seasonal lineup in 2017, Melt My Brain became popular with fans with many sharing selfies with the cans and bottles.

According to Short’s Marketing and Branding Manager, Adam Foster, “The new design of Melt My Brain features one of the most-liked photos we’ve received from one of our Liberators making the iconic Melt My Brain face. We had so much fun looking through these photo submissions and feeling the love for this unique beer, that we decided to build a social media competition around it and slap it right on the can. From release until September 1st, 2018 we will be compiling all photos hashtagged with #MeltMyBrain through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. At the end of this season, we will choose our favorite for the 2019 package release. We look forward to making this a part of the Melt My Brain tradition with some stiff competition and creative interpretations”.

The winner to be featured on the 2019 label will be announced in October 2018. Melt My Brain will be released at Short’s Pub and Short’s Mart on Friday, May 4th with full distribution coming to Great Lakes Region restaurants and stores in mid May.
