Short’s Brewing Co. announces the 2nd annual release of their #WithoutDelayIPA, Psychedelic Cat Grass.
Michigan-based Short’s Brewing said today it would sell a 20 percent equity stake to Lagunitas U.S. Holdings (LUSH), a wholly owned subsidiary of Heineken International. A sale price was not disclosed, but brewery partner Scott Newman-Bale, who spoke to Brewbound following the announcement, said the multiple exceeded 15X EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, debt and amortization).

Short’s Brewing Company announces the release of Prolonged Enjoyment and Starcut Ciders Immortal Jelly. Prolonged Enjoyment, a Session India Pale Ale billed as “Unquestionably quaffable for those long days needed to remain upright and refreshed at the same time” and Immortal Jelly, a semi-dry hard cider fermented with Michigan apples and four different berries will both be distributed as seasonal products and available throughout the spring while supplies last.
Starcut Ciders, a craft cider brand produced by Short’s Brewing Company, is celebrating two years handcrafting hard ciders this month. Launched at the Short’s Brewing Company pub in November 2014, Starcut Ciders began bottled cider distribution in August 2015. Experiencing tremendous growth, in just two years Starcut Ciders is now the third largest cider maker in Michigan and a strong regional brand.
Short’s Brewing Company announces the distribution of a new seasonal beer, The Double Magician. A double version of staple brew and fan favorite, The Magician, The Double Magician is slated to be released on Halloween.
Phuzz (6.9% ABV) is a semi-sweet cider fermented with Michigan apples and peaches. The cider is a brilliantly clear amber-straw color and has aromas of fresh apple and peach. Phuzz is mildly tart and subtly sweet with flavors of bold apple and pleasant lingering peach.
