Pyramid Brewing’s Snow Cap Winter Warmer Returns

PORTLAND, Ore. — Pyramid Brewing Co. is bringing back its trio of Snow Cap winter warmer ales. The seasonal brews, Snow Cap, Super Snow Cap and Bourbon Barrel-Aged Snow Cap, reign as a Pacific Northwest favorites for over the last three decades. With much anticipation from craft beer lovers in Washington and Oregon, the three ales will be available again this November to warm up the chilly Pacific Northwest winter.

Snow Cap, Pyramid’s original wintertime warmer, is inspired by the snow-covered peaks of the Cascades. Dark brown and full-bodied, this timeless seasonal offering features richly woven flavors from a flurry of flavorful, dark malts and pleasant hop bitterness. Snow Cap is kettle-hopped with the three varieties, Nugget, Willamette, and East Kent Goldings, to balance the delicate taste of malt notes infused into the brew with a blend of pale, caramel and chocolate malts.

“The full-body hops combine both warmth and refreshment in this dark brew,” said Head Brewer Ryan Pappe. “Snow Cap’s flurry of chocolate and caramel malts makes for a perfect way to warm up during our region’s coldest months.”

Pyramid’s Brewer’s Reserve, Super Snow Cap, combines the dark chocolate malt of Snow cap with notes of dark fruits, nuts and spices to produce a rich flavor. This festive Imperial winter ale’s plentiful hops and slightly sweet finish can melt the deepest frosts in the Pacific Northwest.

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Snow Cap is Pyramid’s Imperial Winter Ale, which is aged in bourbon barrels for 10 months to produce rich bourbon flavors and aromas interwoven with a complex and warming blend of roasted malts, dark fruits and spices. When your adventure is over the day this winter, get cozy with Bourbon Barrel-Aged Snow Cap.

“Our collection of Snow Cap is a Pacific Northwest tradition that continues to inspire winter adventures year-over-year from Mt. Rainier to Mt. Hood,” said General Manager Robert Rentsch. “Whether it’s a day on the mountain or celebrating the holidays with loved ones, it’s always a good time to get snowed in!”

Snow Cap is available now in 12 oz. 6-pack and 12-pack bottles and 22 oz. bottles. Super Snow Cap and Bourbon Barrel Aged Snow Cap are available in 22 oz. bottles that are perfect for holiday entertaining and gifting. The packaging reflects a Pacific Northwest winter wonderland to bring cheer and merriment.
