Press Clips: Monday Night Opens 6th Taproom; 1912 Brewing Sale Falls Through

Monday Night to Open New Atlanta Location

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, Georgia) will open a new 7,400 sq. ft. indoor taproom and 17,000 sq. ft. outdoor space called The Grove in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood on Saturday, August 23, Eater reported.

The Grove will feature 30 taps, along with an outdoor patio with fire pits, communal tables, a 20-foot outdoor LED TV, a live music amphitheater and Italian-built pizza ovens. The space will also serve coffee and bakery items, as well as cocktails.

The brewery’s original West Midtown space will be converted into a private events space.

Monday Night is a multistate taproom operator, with locations in Birmingham, Alabama; Charlotte, North Carolina; and Nashville and Knoxville, Tennessee.

1912 Brewing to Close

1912 Brewing (Tucson, Arizona) is permanently closing after a sale of the craft brewery fell through.

The company announced on social media: “Unfortunately, our sale has fallen through. Our doors won’t be reopening. Thank you for all the memories and your support throughout the last 9 plus years.”

Allan and Alicia Conger founded the brewery in 2015. They were expected to exit the business on February 28, per a social post.

1912 was the 2018 recipient of Boston Beer Company’s Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream – which provides millions of dollars in small business loans to food and beverage entrepreneurs as well as mentoring.

New on Shelves: Sierra Nevada Hop Splash Variety Pack

Sierra Nevada is adding to its Hop Splash family of non-alcoholic (NA) sparkling hop waters with a variety 12-pack featuring Grapefruit Blood Orange with Mosaic & Simcoe hops and two new flavor combos, including:

  • Peach & Passionfruit with Krush hops;
  • Lemon-Lime with Crystal hops.

The pack is shipping nationwide to wholesalers this week.

In addition to the new SKU, Sierra Nevada has refreshed Hop Splash’s packaging across the portfolio.

Revolution Names Kimberly Vavrick as Communications Director

Chicago-based Revolution Brewing has tapped Kimberly Vavrick as director of communications.

Vavrick, joins Revolution from Puttshack, a mini golf-centric experiential on-premise chain, where she worked as communications director from March 2024 through July 2025, according to her LinkedIn profile.

From 2016 through 2024, Vavrick managed communications in various capacities at Anheuser-Busch InBev (A-B). The first half of her tenure was at Virtue Cider, then owned by the company, and the second half was spent in A-B’s craft division.

At Revolution, Vavrick will lead “voice, visibility and perception” for the core Revolution brand and Reverb, the company’s THC- and CBD-infused drink line.
