DECEMBER 9+10 | LOS ANGELES, CA

Meet the NB2A Breweries Attending Brewbound Live LA 2026

NB2A

Brewbound and the National Black Brewers Association (NB2A) are proud to share the three breweries selected to attend Brewbound Live Los Angeles (December 9 + 10) through Brewbound’s partnership with NB2A.

This year’s participating NB2A breweries come from Los Angeles County, Kansas City and Washington, D.C. Each one is rooted in its own community and treats its brewery as a gathering place for music, culture and neighborhood pride, as much as for beer.

Participating Breweries

Angry Horse Brewing (Founder: Nathan McCusker)

A San Gabriel Valley craft brewery and taproom in Montebello, California, that blends traditional brewing with a modern approach. Angry Horse is built on craftsmanship, community and inclusivity, with a mission to bring people together and help revitalize its neighborhood through independent craft beer.

Soul Mega (Founder: Elliott Johnson)

A Washington, D.C., beer brand and cultural platform that joins people through craft beer, music, art and community. The brewery began as a homebrewing hobby in 2011 and has grown into a business whose beer is now distributed across the Mid-Atlantic. Soul Mega’s flagship Worldwide American Pale Ale is a medal winner, and the brand was awarded the 2026 Samuel Adams Brewing the American Dream Brewing & Business Experienceship.

Vine Street Brewing (Founders: Kemet Coleman, Elliott Ivory and Woodie Bonds Jr.)

Missouri’s first Black-owned brewery, housed in a restored 150-year-old building in Kansas City’s historic 18th & Vine Jazz District. Its lineup is led by Jazzman Black Lager. The brewery celebrates Kansas City’s culture while creating a welcoming space for everyone.

Meet Them at Brewbound Live

Through this collaboration, Brewbound and NB2A help connect Black brewers and brewery owners to the full ecosystem of opportunity at Brewbound Live. The event brings together brewers, distributors, retailers, investors and suppliers for candid conversations and hands-on learning.

At Brewbound Live, participants have access to 1:1 meetings and peer exchange with industry decision-makers, product sampling that drives exposure, and expert sessions on beer and beverage-alcohol trends backed by industry data and case studies. The event also features the Brewbound Pitch Slam, where emerging brands present to an expert panel and live audience for feedback and visibility across the industry.

For these brewers and for every attendee, Brewbound Live is a chance to meet industry leaders, exchange insights and build relationships that drive growth long after the event ends.

Hear From NB2A’s New President

Annie McGinnis, who took over as NB2A president over the summer, will take the Brewbound Live stage for a fireside chat to discuss the trade group’s next chapter and the work ahead.
