NBWA Names Eric Bunning Director of Federal Affairs

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) today announced that Eric Bunning will join the association as Director, Federal Affairs. Bunning brings extensive legislative and advocacy experience to the association.

Bunning will assist the federal affairs team in building relationships with members of Congress, Congressional staff and the administration. He also will help support the association’s grassroots efforts.

“NBWA is happy to welcome Eric to our team,” said NBWA’s Laurie Knight, EVP Government Affairs. “Eric’s experience on Capitol Hill and his advocacy background make him a tremendous asset to the association as we continue to advocate for America’s 3,000 independent beer distributors.”

Bunning most recently served as senior legislative assistant in the office of Rep. Andy Barr (KY), where he handled a diverse portfolio of issues including tax, transportation and other domestic policy priorities. Bunning also has experience with grassroots outreach, volunteer recruitment and organizing get-out-the-vote efforts.

A Kentucky native, Bunning is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
