Collective Arts Brewing Adds Distribution in the Chicago Area

HAMILTON, ON —  Collective Arts Brewing, a craft brewery that fuses the creativity of brewing with art and music is launching in Chicago on October 16, 2017. Collective Arts will be distributing their beer portfolio through Breakthru Beverage, and will be kicking off their Chicago expansion with a series of events including tap takeovers, tastings, and live music. They have recently hired a full-time employee, Chicago resident Tom White, and have partnered with Chicago artists Talya Modlin, Tyler Nickell, Moron Eel, and Elise Sydora. Collective Arts products will be available through local bottle shops, Binny’s Beverage Depot, Whole Foods, and will be pouring at Dusek’s, Thalia Hall, Beer Temple among others throughout the week of October 16.

“We see craft beer drinkers as experiential and creative in nature and wanted to give them a unique beer experience. Supporting emerging artists in the communities we are in is our primary mission, and we use our beer as the vehicle to do that. Building the bridges between art, music, and beer are important to us,” says Matt Johnston, co-founder and CEO of Collective Arts Brewing.

Four Chicago artists’ work will be featured on Collective Arts Ransack the Universe IPA. “Collective Arts Brewing is urging artists to take a stronger, and more considered part in the world’s visual landscape.” says Talya Modlin, one of the featured Chicago-based artists. “Having this kind of platform where artwork being used in an unexpected way can change and influence the experience in how future artists and organizations work together to better contribute to our visual landscape.”

“We are very excited to have the chance to partner with Collective Arts,” explains Brian Stockard, Breakthru Beverage Illinois Director of Sales, Beer. “They are doing things differently with a wide range of styles that have received excellent ratings and reviews. Not only does the packaging make you stop and take notice, but the quality of the beer and the brewery’s commitment to working with local artists brings together two of this city’s largest consumer groups: craft beer drinkers and creative minds!”
