Constellation Brands chief customer officer Bill Renspie is no longer with the company, Beer Marketer’s Insights reported Wednesday, citing a note to distributors from beer division president Jim Sabia.
A Constellation spokesperson confirmed Renspie’s exit.
“The company and Bill Renspie have mutually agreed that Bill will step down from his role as chief customer officer for Constellation’s Beer Division, effective March 19, 2025,” the spokesperson shared in a statement. “Bill has made significant contributions to the growth and success of our beer division over the years, with support from our sales teams across the country and our Gold Network distributor partners. We sincerely thank Bill for his contributions to our company and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.”
Constellation has begun the search for Renspie’s successor.
“In the meantime, we have a strong beer sales leadership team that remains focused on working with our Gold Network distributor partners to accelerate momentum for our beer portfolio in the year ahead,” per the statement.
In April 2020, Renspie was promoted to the then newly created role of chief customer officer for Constellation’s beer division, which includes Mexican imports Corona, Modelo, Pacifico and Victoria. He joined the company in 2002, holding several sales leadership roles within the beer division, including chief sales officer.
Renspie’s exit follow the departure of chief growth and strategy officer E. Yuri Hermida on February 28. Hermida joined the company in October, taking the role vacated by Mallika Monteiro, who is now serving as interim chief growth and strategy officer, in addition to her existing role as EVP, managing director of beer brands.
