Ferndale. MI – B. Nektar is pleased to announce and welcome Aaron Tyrell as the company’s National Sales Director. Aaron will lead the B. Nektar sales team and work directly with their distributor network to maximize the growth of the B. Nektar brands. Providing strategic direction for the business and market development, he will serve as a liaison between craft beer customers and the company’s innovation.

” I have known Brad and B.Nektar for years, almost from their inception. We poured side by side at Michigan events and festivals while I was in the Craft Beer industry. As I moved around the Midwest I would happily bump into B. Nektar bottles and taps as they grew across the region.” says Aaron. “It is with great excitement that I jump from being a fan to joining the B. Nektar band.”

Prior to joining B. Nektar, Aaron was the Midwest Regional Sales Manager with Stone Brewing Company based out of Escondido, CA where he resolved market issues during wholesaler acquisitions and transfers and developed brand priorities based on market trends. He also brings an extensive knowledge of the distribution side of the industry with his work with well-known Michigan distributor, Elite Brands/Imperial Beverage as an Area Sales Representative.

“We are very fortunate to have Aaron on the team. Finding the right people is one of the most important things a business can do, and it’s never easy.” says Co -founder and CEO, Brad Dahlhofer. “Not only does Aaron have the experience we needed on the team, but he fits in like family.”

Nektar Meadery is a Ferndale, Michigan based company that started from a home-brewing hobby in 2008 and is already the largest producer of mead (honey based alcohol) in the United States with the goal of becoming a globally known brand, one market at a time. Rated one of the Top 100 Brewers in the World by RateBeer for the last three years in a row, B. Nektar makes meads that extend far beyond the traditional honey wine. All of the products from B. Nektar have held their own in the craft beverage industry, ranging from the well-known cherry and honey cider, Zombie Killer (97pts on Ratebeer) to their more limited releases such as #DragonsAreReal, a mead aged in New Holland Dragon’s Milk barrels which has a stunning 100pts rating with craft enthusiasts.

“We’re looking forward to the future of B. Nektar and raising the bar for the entire mead industry. We plan to make B. Nektar one of the best run operations in the entire Craft Beverage industry.” – says Dahlhofer.

The product line can be found in 23 states and is also available in Europe. In the start of 2015, an additional 20,000 square feet was added to the B. Nektar headquarters for more production, offices and a taproom. Aaron is joining the B. Nektar “band” at just the right time as B. Nektar is finishing their latest capacity expansion, doubling production to over 250,000 gallons annually.
