NEW YORK — Bud Light’s campaign “Famous Among Friends” aims to bring friends, new and old, together over a crisp, refreshing Bud Light. The brand’s two newest advertisements, “The Hero’s Return” and “Supplies”, expand on the campaign to show that good friends are always willing to go to great lengths for Bud Light.
The first of Bud Light’s two new spots, “The Hero’s Return,” depicts the homecoming of a colonial Patriot set in a modern-day football game. While standing in the concessions line to get beer for his friends, h he encounters several setbacks, but like a dependable friend he safely returns home with Bud Lights in tow. The football-themed spot will premiere this Sunday evening.
“Supplies,” which will also debut on Sunday, features a group of friends seeking shelter from a zombie apocalypse. As their friend, Frank, returns from braving the zombie-infested town in search of supplies, his friends share that he must brave the zombies again to go get more Bud Light. Like a true friend, Frank leaves the safety of their shelter once more in search of Bud Light for his friends. The release of “Supplies” was inspired by the popular zombie-affinity that is sweeping pop culture in addition to the proximity to Halloween.
