Brown Distributing, a Florida-based beer wholesaler that sells products from more than 60 U.S. craft breweries across the entire state, is in the process of selling the rights to a variety of craft brands in some of its central and northern markets. The company, which lists beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic products from more than 130 suppliers on its website, began informing craft brewery owners of its decision to transfer their brands on Monday night.

Craft beer is back on the 2016 legislative agenda in Georgia. A forthcoming bill, drafted by Rep. Ron Stephens (R-Savannah), could be introduced as early as next week and include favorable changes to the way small beer and spirits producers operate. Though unfinished, the bill is expected to address brewery tours, retail allowances and food service permits, according to Stephens, who was reached by Brewbound.

With no end in sight to the heavy rains that are soaking Oregon, Rogue Farms in Independence is closed due to flooding through the end of the year. Last week, the Willamette River poured over its banks, sending floodwaters rushing over the main road and filling Rogue’s hopyard with water several feet deep.
