Nashville’s TailGate Brewing has acquired the campus and facility of Yazoo Brewing in Madison, Tennessee, which will serve as its primary production hub, the breweries announced Tuesday.

TailGate Brewery is beating the odds amid a stubbornly down period for craft beer. TailGate’s distribution business – which it bolsters with nine taprooms in Tennessee – has increased 40% year-over-year (YoY) in the first half of 2026, the Nashville-based brewery shared in a recent press release.

TailGate Brewery founder and owner Wesley Keegan does not advise that other brewers mimic his Nashville-based brewery’s portfolio strategy, simply because it doesn’t make much sense. Throughout TailGate’s decade in operation, its flagship offerings have been a peanut butter milk stout and an orange wheat beer, neither of which were created with the goal of becoming the brewery’s lead style.

Tennessee’s TailGate Brewery just hit a homerun with the release of Sounds Strawberry Lemonade Shandy (3.5% ABV).

TailGate Cider Company, the cider program of Nashville-based TailGate Brewery, added Prosecco Cider to their year-round lineup.

This week TailGate Brewery, a Nashville craft brewery known for their inventive, small-batch craft beer, launched ‘Trees,’ their new series of hazy IPAs. The first in the series is 420. Nice., a nod to the upcoming holiday.
