Big Storm Brewery and William Dean Chocolates, the company that made the chocolates featured in the movie Hunger Games, are teaming up to create a specialty artisan brew.

Big Storm Brewing Co. and the Tampa Bay Lightning have teamed up to brew a craft beer celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Bolts.

Big Storm Brewing Co has created a special limited-release beer to celebrate “Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration,” an exhibit shared between three institutions: The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota; the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg; and the Tampa Museum of Art.

Florida’s Fat Point Brewing has finalized its sale to Seaboard Craft Beer Holdings, the parent company of Tampa Bay’s Big Storm Brewing. A purchase price was not disclosed, but Seaboard co-founder L.J. Govoni told Brewbound that the transaction included various brewery assets as well as the rights to the Fat Point brand.

On Saturday, April 8, Big Storm will introduce Rowdies fans to a special beer called, “Kick In The Grass.” A light, refreshing Pilsner style lager, “Kick In The Grass” will be offered exclusively at Al Lang Stadiumduring every Rowdies match of the 2017 season.

Joel joined Big Storm in December of 2015 and spent much of the year focused on research and development at Big Storm’s Odessa location. Joel is responsible for some of Big Storm’s more popular offerings in the taprooms like the Merchant Porter, the Belgian Quad and Quintuple and the Palm Bender Gulf Coast IPA.

Big Storm Brewing Co. announces plans to celebrate the Oktoberfest season. Awarded a gold medal and the title of Best of Show at the “Best Florida Beer Championships,” the seasonal Märzen Lager called, “Oktoberfest” will be officially “tapped” at both Big Storm Brewing Co. locations on Sept. 2 and available in wider distribution by mid-September.
