One of the latest signs that craft beer has entered a new era: Patrons of storied brewpub chains Gordon Biersch and Rock Bottom can now order domestic lagers produced by the world’s largest breweries.

In episode 32 of the Brewbound Podcast, Sebago Brewing co-founder Kai Adams discusses the ways in which his company has evolved over the years, and how a two-decades-old brewery stays relevant in a competitive environment.

Sebago’s new brewery has four times the capacity of their former facility and can brew 5,000 gallons of beer in four batches per day

Sebago Brewing Co. (SBC), announced today the sale of its 13,000-square-foot installed brewery in Gorham to Portland-based Lone Pine Brewing Company.

Sebago Brewing Co. (SBC), in partnership with the Shaw Brothers Family Foundation, hosted a groundbreaking today at their new destination brewery on Lower Main Street in Gorham.

Each year since 2012, Sebago Brewing Company has brewed Hop Swap, an American-style IPA, with a new hop profile in order to introduce fans to the wonderful flavors and aromas that can come from hops.

Tomorrow, Sebago Brewing Co. will release Bonfire Rye Ale, the brewery’s hoppy fall seasonal that boasts earthy, piney flavors. First brewed in 2013, with the intention of being unique among other fall seasonal beers, Bonfire uses a combination of malts with the addition of American hops that are meant to enhance the flavors associated with the Pine Tree State.

Two Maine-based craft breweries — Sebago Brewing and Maine Beer Company — are in the process of finalizing brewery expansions projects what would enable each company to significantly grow their operations in the greater Portland area. Sebago Brewing, based in Gorham, today announced plans to open a new $5 million destination brewery in 2017. Pending planning board approvals, the company could break ground as early as November, it said in a press release.
