In keeping with the tradition of honest ales and lagers, Bear Republic Brewing Company has released fan favorite IPA, Hop Shovel, in six-packs. Previously only available in draft, Hop Shovel joins the ranks of its brothers Racer 5, Grand-Am, Pace Car Racer, and Double Aught in the year-round lineup.

Brewing handcrafted beers for over twenty years, Bear Republic Brewing Company has recently expanded on their barrel-aged program with the introduction of its Wild Club, an exclusive, members-only club.

Bear Republic Brewing Company of Cloverdale, California has signed with Clear River Beverage to distribute their products in Minnesota. Bear Republic has won 22 medals at the Great American Beer Festival and was named the GABF Small Brewing Company and Brewmaster of the Year in 2006.

Bear Republic Brewing Company is happy to announce that its American Brown Ale, Peter Brown Tribute Ale, will now be available in 12 oz. six-packs. Peter Brown, our “Million Dollar Salesman”, was Bear Republic’s Sales Manager for over three years and is missed daily at the Bear since his death in November 2002.

Café Racer 15 is back already? For those Bear Republic fans out there who routinely buy our products (thanks!), you might be asking yourself these questions when you see Café Racer again on the shelves of your favorite local bottle shop. We’ve just decided to mix things up a bit. Café Racer 15 will now become our winter release and the ever-evolving Apex will shift to our summer release in July.

It’s half mermaid, half bear, and entirely fantastic. MerBear Rye IPA, the new love child of SoCal icon Coronado Brewing and NorCal heavyweight Bear Republic, is set to hit shelves mid-February. The friendship began a few years back when president Rick Chapman and Brewmaster and COO Richard “Ricardo” Norgrove, of Coronado and Bear Republic respectively, met for beers at a local San Diego beer bar where they discussed the idea of the two creating something special.

Bear Republic Brewing Company® claimed a silver medal at the 2015 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) competition, receiving their twenty-second medal overall. Presented by the Brewers Association, GABF is the largest national beer competition that recognizes the most outstanding beers produced in the United States. The top three winners in each category were announced September 26 at the Great American Beer Festival awards ceremony held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado.
