Comstock Park, Michigan & Longmont, Colorado – The Perrin Pub draft offerings are becoming more diverse as this partnership evolves into a new year of creative opportunities among Perrin Brewing Company, Oskar Blues Brewery, and Cigar City Brewing. In addition to the release of the iconic Jai Alai IPA of Cigar City, there the first scheduled batch of Michigan-brewed Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale available draft only on January 28th at Ice Jam Winter Festival and in the Perrin Pub.

Tim Matthews of Oskar Blues made his way to Perrin Brewing this winter to craft a Michigan brewed version of Dale’s Pale Ale with Brewing Director, John Stewart of Perrin. Matthews shipped the essential hops and malts specific to this brew directly to the Perrin facility in order to match the balanced flavors from start to finish. Through the use of Perrin’s reverse osmosis water filtering system, Matthews recreated the water profile of Longmont, Colorado to fit the components of this brew.

“The brewers at Perrin have a unique but similar style of brewing compared to Oskar Blues,” says Tim Matthews, Oskar Blues Head of Brewing Operations. “Changing the scenery, brewing with friends, and the challenge of recreating a beer staple made this an incredibly exciting brew. When those post fermentation stats and analysis came in there were a lot of high fives!”

Dale’s Pale Ale is America’s first hand-canned craft beer and named the “Top US Pale Ale” by the New York Times. The voluminously hopped ale delivers an assertive but balanced flavors of malts and hops. Coming in at 6.5% ABV and 65 IBU’s, is easy to say Dale’s Pale Ale is the #1 selling craft can 6-pack in the US.

This 30-barrel batch of Michigan-brewed Dale’s Pale Ale will only be available on draft on January 28th at the Ice Jam Winter Festival and in Perrin.
